Kanye West Announces Apparel Deal With Adidas

This evening, Kanye West and his fiancee Kim Kardashian sat down with Hot 97 radio DJ Angie Martinez to talk about a multitude of topics including fatherhood, Katie Couric, and of course…fashion. Yeezy happened to drop the ball when asked about his upcoming fashion projects stating that he did in-fact sign an apparel deal with Adidas, which has been a rampant rumor for the past week as the impending fashion line has been the talk of fashion blogs. In full context, West stated below:

So the old me, without a daughter, would have taken the Nike deal because I just love Nikes so much. But the new me, with a daughter, takes the adidas deal because I have royalties and I have to provide for my family.

Congrats to Ye, let’s see if he can put his money where his mouth is. Shut up or put up. Watch more of the interview below.

Drake Sits Down With Hot 97’s Angie Martinez

It’s a forgone conclusion that today is Drake Day, after dropping a short film for his extremely popular R&B/dance-pop (?) single “Hold On, We’re Going Home” off Nothing Was the Same (which impacted stores today but I’m sure you’ve already heard it), Drizzy sat down for an extensive interview with Hot 97‘s Angie Martinez. In the interview Drake shares on a myriad of topics including the reaction of his family upon them hearing the intimate NWTS cut “Too Much”, his relationships with Jay Z, who has the only real notable rap feature on the album, and Kanye West who Drake brought out for last month’s OVO Fest. The Toronto native also discusses his passive relationship with the humorous Instagram memes that mock his manhood and his seemingly distant relationship with YMCMB/Cash Money.

Oh, and he also talks about Kendrick Lamar‘s overly-publicized “Control” verse, in which he states the verse as not being “real”. Is Drake trying to throw shade? Watch the full interview below. Nothing Was the Same in stores now.
