If you have been on social media feverishly lately then chances are that you have probably heard of Zach Sobeich, who was an 18-year-old teen who had been diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer at the tender age of 14. Given four to six months to live after doctors found tumors in both of his lungs, Sobeich did what many people who currently sustain healthy lives are scared or timid to do, live. Before he passed Sobeich left family and friends with videos and songs of his to spread positivity in the world despite his terminal illness. Due to the widespread sharing of Sobeich’s homemade songs/videos, his song “Dreams” enabled him to be signed to record label Broadcast Music Inc., which had been his lifelong dream. In his honor, Zach’s family started the Zach Sobiech Osteosarcoma Fund to help fund research for his rare form of cancer. Watch Zach’s uplifting story, directed by comedian/actor Rainn Wilson, above.
