Legendary N.W.A founder and West Coast gangsta rap artist Eazy-E has been crowned as the second deceased rapper (2Pac was “revived” at Coachella last year) to receive a live performance hologram. The late Mr. Wright was depicted (virtually clothed in his infamous “Compton” hat and classic Dickies ensemble) in visual form Saturday afternoon at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California for the Rock the Bells 2013 kick-off concert in Los Angeles. Eazy was “brought back to life” during Bone Thugs-N-Harmony‘s set as they performed a medley of Eazy’s and N.W.A’s classic hits including “Real Muthap****kin G’s,” “Straight Outta Compton,” “Boyz N Tha Hood,” and “For tha Love of $.” This past Saturday would’ve marked the 50th birthday of the late rap great.
Bone Thug’s set was DJ’ed by another founding member of N.W.A, DJ Yella. Watch the full footage below.
