A-Rod to be Sentenced Today, Will Start Anyway

Alex Rodriguez, along with 12 other players including Ryan Braun, were recently exposed for allegedly buying steroids from the Biogenesis of America clinic in Florida. The All-Star Yankee has missed the entire season due to injury and had the set date to make a return today against the Chicago White Sox. The plan for him is to continue with his return by appealing any suspension handed down by MLB commissioner Bud Selig. If Selig had his way, A-Rod would never wear an MLB uniform again. But the more realistic timetable would be a suspension through the 2014 season, or roughly 150 games. Can he save the Yankees? They are in danger of not even being in contention for the post season being nine and a half games behind the Boston Red Sox with 52 games left. Without the captain Derek Jeter, the Yankees need something to get the ball rolling. Follow the drama that unfolds on ESPN.
